Marbled Ringlet

Marbled Ringlet Erebia montana is generally widespread and common in its alpine habitat where it can be found from 1100 – 2500 metres above sea level. This photo was taken at around 1700 metres above sea level. Its preferred habitat includes grassy alpine meadows and flowery slopes which was the habitat in the vicinity of where it was photographed.
