Pin-tailed Whydah

After spending several days in the dark and damp forests of Nyungwe, it was good to be out in bright sunshine. Pin-tailed Whydah is a common species in much of sub-Saharan Africa and this is a male bird which is just starting to develop its breeding plumage.
