Raggiana Bird-of-paradise

Raggiana Bird-of-paradise, the national bird of Papua New Guinea, can be found in the Virarata National Park which is about an hour’s drive from Port Moresby the capital. The species is quite easy to see but a male in full breeding plumage is not. I was lucky enough to find a line of sight through the dense vegetation to this bird at its lek.
