Singing Cisticola

Singing Cisticola

Cisticolas are generally very hard to identify unless they call or sing and fortunately, a number of these birds were singing in the field opposite our hotel in Kigali and identified as Singing Cisticolas. The bird in the photograph with its yellowish gape is possibly a juvenile.
