Tabubil

The next leg of our journey was a flight from Mount Hagen to Tabubil. Flight days are often eventful and this was no exception. Having negotiated the check-in at Mount Hagen airport, we boarded the jet expecting to fly to Kiunga where we were due to meet a bus to take us to Tabubil. Surprisingly, the plane landed in Tabubil however so we explained to the air crew that this is where we wanted to be and were allowed to disembark along with our luggage. Some six hours were saved that day therefore although it poured with rain for the rest of the day and we sat disconsolately looking out of the window of our hotel. Meanwhile, we needed our bus in Tabubil the following day.
