Smith’s Bush Squirrel is also known as Tree Squirrel in South Africa as well as Yellow-footed Squirrel in other parts of Africa. It has a wide range in Africa which includes the Democratic Repubublic of Congo, Tanzania, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique and South Africa.

Essentially arboreal animals, they also spend a great deal of time on the ground, foraging for food. When disturbed, Smith’s Bush Squirrels always seek the refuge of trees. This squirrel was photographed in the grounds of an hotel. Source: Wikipedia
