White-crested Laughingthrush

There are some good parkland areas for bird watching in central Singapore. This Laughingthrush and its mate were building a nest in a small tree next to the track. They were finding nesting material in the undergrowth and were so close to the camera that I was unable to fit the whole bird in the frame. This is an iconic example of this large bird family.
